LAHORE: The Punjab government on Wednesday gave a three-day ultimatum to the protesting Young Doctors’ Association (YDA) to end its protest. Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif took notice of the strike and ordered the authorities to resolve the issue. Adviser to Chief Minister on Health Khawaja Salman Rafiq termed the strike of young doctors “illegal and immoral”, saying that thousands of patients were suffering on a daily basis due to the strike.
