When art imitates life quoted film personality in the history of moviemaking
Charlie Chaplin is perhaps the most quoted film personality in the history of moviemaking. One of his famous lines about art (read: life) is: “Life is a tragedy when seen in close-up, but a comedy in long shot.” There is a semblance of truth in this observation.
