Primary literacy plan launched for three million poor children

ISLAMABAD: The government launched on Friday a four-year literacy programme under which more than three million children of poor families, especially girls, will get free education.

The programme ‘Waseela-i-Taleem’ was launched by President Asif Ali Zardari under the umbrella of the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) to enrol children of poor families in primary schools.
