PESHAWAR The People’s Students Federation (PSF) Wednesday termed the Lahore High Court (LHC) verdict about dual offices of President Asif Ali Zardari as conspiracy against the Pakistan People’s Party.
Speaking at a press conference here, the PSF Secretary Information Faheem Khattak said that President Zardari was a political president and no one could impose restriction on him from participation in political activities.
Under the Constitution, he said, every citizen had the right to take part in political activities. He termed the LHC decision on dual office of the president not only against the PPP, but a conspiracy against democracy and people of Pakistan.
He said the Pakistan People’s Party respected the judiciary, but under the Constitution no one could impose ban on political activities of the president. Flanked by senior vice-president Khaista Rehman and other PSF members, Khattak said that PPP was a popular political party and conspiracies were being hatched in Lahore against the party leadership.The news
