Minerva opens workshops for wisdom and learning

Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) ISLAMABAD News Minerva learning community emerges on Islamabad’s map Islamabad Students and future educators shall all look forward to the inauguration of Minerva as it opens avenues for wisdom and learning, individuality and innovation, empowerment and initiative, and social inclusion and change here in Islamabad today (Saturday).

Minerva — a ‘learning community’ that aims to set standards of excellence in education and learning, is being initiated with a view to introducing new concepts of learning, education and enterprise to students and educators alike. Led by a young and ambitious director Sana Khalid, who is undergoing a professional degree of Associate Chartered Accountancy (ACA) from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), this unique initiative comes with several core competencies that will be maximised to harness the full potential of its members, the ‘Minervites.’

Talking to this scribe here on the eve of the initiative’s launching, Sana shared that “Minerva will provide an assorted range of opportunities for academic and personal growth of students and faculty alike, empowering them to take charge of their lives with greater confidence.” These ranges from ‘O/A’ levels navigation facilities’ (tuitions) to workshops on drawing and painting, cartoon and animation, Reiki, meditation and natural healing, music, photography, sculpture and a lot more. “By making the individual growth of students, the centrepiece of its multi-faceted teaching methodologies, Minerva is offering a launching pad for students to move forward in practical life,” Sana said.

It offers avenues for promotion of music and holding of art exhibitions by budding artists. Moreover, it encourages students to utilise this platform for gigs, symposiums/seminars, and implementation of other ideas and events corresponding to Minerva’s philosophy.

“Minerva’s hiring approach is to engage the most promising young individuals. Each individual offers something that another person cannot, and an opportunity awaits each individual who can identify with that,” the director informed. Moreover, the set-up offers ‘O/A’ levels subjects that are not offered elsewhere in Islamabad.

In short, from its focus on smart learning, peer tutoring and reducing the student-teacher gap to the provision of small-strength classes and customised study plans, everything about Minerva makes it different from the rest. That is not all. ‘Minervites’ also have access to the mouth-watering delicacies of Minerva’s cafe. The set-up is small but ensures quality and exclusivity.

Registrations for its workshops being conducted in the last week of May and ‘O/ A’ levels tutorials being held in June commence right after the inaugural. Customised study plans and personalised attention mean that seats are limited and interested individuals will be registered on a first-come, first-served basis.
