Pakistan Medical Association demands foolproof security for doctor

PMA demands foolproof security for doctors
KARACHI: The Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) has condemned the violence at the Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) on Friday night by those accompanying the betting den blast victims. Dr. Samrina Hashmi, a PMA Sindh representative, in a statement on Saturday said the attack on doctors and paramedics attending the victims of the blast reflected poorly on security arrangements at the hospital. “Attack by unscrupulous and charged elements has been registered,” Hashmi said. The senior doctor said while the administration of CHK had attempted to tighten security arrangements during past few months there appeared to be a sort of lapse on Friday, resulting in injuries to the hospital staff. Hashmi on behalf of PMA demanded that the culprits targeting the medical community must be arrested and punished. The PMA representative demanded foolproof security arrangements for doctors, nurses and paramedics at all hospitals in the city. app
