Roots School Celebrates Annual Parents Day
LAHORE: The Roots School System (RSS) held its Annual Parents’ Day and Montessori Graduation Ceremony on Tuesday at the Lahore Expo Centre.
The theme for the annual parents day, which was adopted throughout the performances, was “We are the World” in which young Rootsians wearing beautiful costumes represented cultures of different regions of the world. William Bickerdike, the new Regional Manager for Middle East, North Africa (MENA) and Pakistan for University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) was the chief guest of the ceremony while the guest of honour for the ceremony was Aitchison College’s Principal, Dr Ijaz ud Din. RSS Director, Walid Mushtaq, was also present at the event. The event started with recitation from the holy Quran, after which the audience took a virtual tour of the RSS campus. The students then presented skits and dances depicting Malaysian, Arabic, German and Chinese cultures. A special performance by the students on Kashmiri culture was also admirable. At the end of the event, the chief guest gave away shields and certificates to the Montessori graduates and all the young performers who made the event lively through their stunning performances.
