Summer vacations to be observed in July-August
KARACHI: The Steering Committee of Sindh Education Department at its meeting on Saturday decided that this year’s summer vacations would be observed in the months of July and August, instead of June and July. The meeting was presided over by Senior Sindh Education Minister Pir Mazhar-ul-Haq. This will be implemented for the coming three years as the holy month of Ramazan as well as monsoon season is expected in these two months. Sindh Education Secretary Waseem Ursani, Board of Intermediate Education Karachi Chairman Anwar Ahmed Zai, Private Schools Director Mansoob Siddiqui, Sindh Text Book Board Secretary Mushtaq Ahmed and others official also attended the meeting. Later, talking to media, Sindh Education Minister and other high officials of the education department shed light on the reasons and aspects of the decision.
