HYDERABAD/JAMSHORO: US Ambassador to Pakistan Cameron Munter said on Tuesday the Pakistan government should answer what Osama bin Laden was doing on Pakistani soil.
Talking to the media after addressing the students of Sindh University, Munter said the US was cooperating and aiding Pakistan in the war on terror and the situation right now was at its lowest ebb.

He said Pakistan needed to provide answers about what OBL was doing in the country and why law enforcement agencies had failed to locate him. Munter said that although relations saw a decline in the last few months, the two countries had the same interests and hoped the future relations between them would improve.
He said OBL was an international terrorist who was killed while the war on terror would continue so that more terrorists could be eliminated. Munter said all peace-loving countries should cooperate with the US. He expressed happiness on visiting Jamshoro and said the hospitality and friendship extended to him in these difficult times was heartwarming. —Online
INP adds: Addressing the university students, Munter said the drone attacks would continue as they were a part of the war on terror. He said the US acknowledged Pakistan’s sacrifices in the war.
APP adds: Friendship with Pakistan remains a top US priority, Munter told journalists at a lunch hosted in his honour by the member of APNS Executive Committee and Editor-in-Chief Daily Ibrat, ex-MNA Kazi Asad Abid. “The US has always believed in a close friendship with Pakistan,” he said.
Munter thanked Kazi Asad Abid for arranging the gathering of notables of Hyderabad, adding that because of the meeting he had got a chance to talk to some of the best minds of Pakistan.
Among others, the President of Hyderabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Goharullah, senior PPP leader Pervaiz Ansari, General Secretary PML-F Sindh, Nawab Rashid Ali Khan, and Saleem Shaikh were also present.The news
