KARACHI: Like other parts of the world, the International Mothers Day is being celebrated across the country on Sunday (today) to highlight the importance of mothers in the society. The celebration is West inspired, however, it has been gaining grounds in our society for paying homage to mothers by showering gifts, flowers and cards to express one’s love for his or her mother. Restaurants, hotels, and classrooms in the metropolis have been decorated, while scores of people have made special arrangements to celebrate the day.Daily times
