Alhamra art exhibition delights art lovers

LAHORE: A group exhibition of ten artists was held at the Alhamra Art Gallery on Thursday.

The event was arranged by the Lahore Arts Council and was a delight for art lovers that had come to see the exhibition.

The works of print makers Hajra Saleem, Rabiya Ejaz, Sania Sabahat, Shumaila Khan, Muniba Tariq, Aqsa Sajjad and painters Mehwish Parvez, Sadia Iqbal, Iram Naeem and Shazia Munir were highly appreciated by the guests. Professor Rahat Naveed Masud inaugurated the show, and some of the artists could be seen waiting in the gallery for feedback from the visitors. The paintings of animal made by Iram Naeem were highly appreciated, whereas the print designs of Shumaila Khan, Hajra Saleem and Aqsa Sajjad were also a big hit among the art lovers.

“One of the things about young people is that they keep coming up with new ideas and their creativity keeps on evolving,” said a guest, Nadia Khan. The artists have shown a new variety of their work, which is based on fresh ideas, she added. The exhibition will continue until July 20th.Daily Times.
