Karachi:A two-day workshop organised by Karavan of United, Motivated, Ambitious Khabtees (KUMAK), a Karachi-based youth organization in collaboration with Press and Publication Committee of Arts Council Karachi, concluded here on Sunday.
More than one fifty participants took part in the event which held a series of activities, panel discussion and motivation lectures under the theme ‘Waqt ke Andheron Mein Apne App ko Pehchano’.
The workshop revolved around the importance of youth initiative and leadership with the view of contributing effectively to Pakistani society.
This was the fourth conference under the grand motto of the organization “Jago aur Jagao” held annually by KUMAK Pakistan.
Sabina Khan, a founding member of KUMAK Pakistan and motivational speaker said, “The main idea of the event is to evoke a sense of hope among youth and make them embrace this land.”

“This was one of the rare panel discussions I ever participated in, which brought warring student political wings on one platform” said Bilal Maqbool, a BBA student.
“It was really quite an experience. Amidst so much pessimism and violence such meet-ups actually instil faith in you that there are people who care for this country,” said Mohila Syed, a student of Economics at Karachi University.
Before the closing ceremony, Ahsan Reza Firdousi, a founding member of KUMAK along with three blind actors, enthralled the audience with a mesmerizing rendition of Allama Iqbal’s classic Sikwa aur Jawab-e-Sikwa on stage, which was hailed with standing ovation and shouts of “once more, once more,” by the audience.
