RAWALPINDI: The Punjab Education Department has sacked nearly 300 teachers for not turning up for a training programme.
The department had started the subject specialist training for educators of the city but around 300 primary school teachers of Grade 9 did not show up on the first day of the programme.
The department tried to contact the absent teachers and sacked them when they failed to turn up.
