PESHAWAR: The appointment of Syed Imtiaz Hussain Gilani for another term as vice-chancellor of the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) was challenged in the Peshawar High Court (PHC) on Saturday.
A professor of the Electrical Engineering Department of the university, Sahibzada Fayyaz Noor, challenged the reappointment of Imtiaz Gilani.
The petitioner argued that the Supreme Court had ordered that no extension should be given to any government employee after retirement.
