President approves Shifa Tameer-e-Millat University Act

ISLAMABAD - President Asif Ali Zardari Friday accorded assent to Shifa Tameer-e-Millat University Act which pertains to establishment of the university in health and other sciences. The bill for the university was passed by the National Assembly on January 16 and by the Senate on February 10. The Islamabad-based university is envisaged to be a non-profit institution set up in the private sector.
