Seminars, rallies, exhibitions and cultural events marked the celebrations of International Women’s Day (IWD) in Islamabad.

The day started with a colourful event titled ‘Choo lo Aasman’ organised by the Ministry of Human Rights. Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani was the chief guest on the occasion, which was also addressed by Speaker National Assembly Fehmida Mirza, Goodwill Ambassador for Women Development Fiza Batool Gilani and Advisor to Prime Minister on Human Rights
