Appointments in PTV can’t be challenged: Islamabad High Court (IHC)

ISLAMABAD, June 11: Justice Riaz Ahmed Khan of Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Monday dismissed three identical petitions filed by the officials of Pakistan Television (PTV) against the appointments of “news managers” in the state-run media organisation from the private sectors.

After hearing both sides, the IHC judge observed that petitioners could not challenge the appointments of the respondents as PTV is a non-statutory organisation and is a service-providing body.
