The Comsats Institute of Information Technology (CIIT) has made considerable progress in various domains like enrolment, ranking, research publications, infrastructure. CIIT has been ranked by various bodies based on different criteria over the years and it has been ranked Number 1 in category of Computer Science and Technology by HEC in 2012 on basis of Quality Assurance and Enhancement and Research.
