First IGP of Islamabad dies Former inspector general of police (IGP) and first head of the Islamabad Police Malik Muhammad Nawaz passed away on Tuesday at the age of 78.
He was known as an efficient police officer, who served the Islamabad Police as an IGP from January 1, 1981 to September 3, 1986.
The Police Service of Pakistan (PSP) Association has expressed its grief and sorrow over the demise of former IGP Malik Muhammad Nawaz.
