Govt likely to introduce six-hour work day: Energy conservation

LAHORE: The provincial government may reduce work hours for secretariat workers by an hour, replacing 8am- to-3pm work day with a 7am-to-1pm one, in a bid to conserve electricity.


The decision was taken in a recent cabinet meeting presided over by Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif at the camp office set up in Minar-e-Pakistan, a cabinet member who attended the meeting told The Express Tribune on Tuesday.

He said the decision would be implemented after formal approval by the chief
