PESHAWAR: Speakers at a two-day international conference on Earth Sciences Pakistan have termed the role of geologists important in exploration of natural resource to promote competition and a stable fiscal regime.
They said Pakistan had coal reserves of 185 billion tonnes spread over an area of 9,000 square kilometres with a rating of fifth in the world versus the current consumption of 11 million tonnes only.
