Pakistan Metreological Department, Karachi Chief Dr Ghulam Rasul said on Thursday that the people experienced, June 21, the hottest and the longest day of the year, when the sun directly shone over the tropic of cancer.
Talking to a private news channel, he said following Thursday’s solstice, the Earth will continue its orbit around the sun on its tilted axis, so that by September 22, the sun will be directly over the equator for the autumnal equinox.
