The Rise of the Graphic Novel omic strips single volume

The graphic novel genre is not a new one. The term was coined in the 1980s, when a number of comic strips were amalgamated into a single volume. Since then, graphic novels have evolved, and are considered to be a genre on their own with sophisticated illustrations, as well as longer and complex storylines with a beginning and an end, much like regular
novels. Still, there are many experts who dismiss graphic novels as mere longer versions of comic books.
