Karachi SMC made university
An ordinance to upgrade the Sindh Medical College (SMC) into the Sindh Medical University (SMU) was signed by Governor Ishrat-ul-Ibad at Bilawal House on Friday, with President Asif Ali Zardari as a witness.
Officials say that when the SMC is upgraded, it will be the third medical university in Karachi catering to the increasing educational requirement of the metropolis in particular, and the country in general.
