World Oceans Day Friday (today)
ISLAMABAD - The World Oceans Day 2012 will be observed on Friday (today) across the world including Pakistan to raise awareness of the challenges humanity faces to protect the world’s oceans. World Oceans Day was first introduced in 1992 and officially recognized in 2008 to raise awareness of the crucial role the sea plays as sources of food, oxygen and medicine.
