KARACHI, June 28: The civil society representatives have called for imposing an “education emergency” in the country and demanded that the government allocate more funds for education in order to comply with the provision in the constitution which states that “the state shall provide free and compulsory education to all children of the age of five to sixteen years in such manner as may be determined by law”.
