Enrolment in Sindh universities increased: Ebad
KARACHI: The enrolment in the universities of the Sindh province has increased considerably during the past several years.This was pointed out by Governor of Sindh, Dr. Ishrat ul Ebad Khan.An official statement on Friday said that Dr. Ishrat ul Ebad Khan, who is also the Chancellor of the public sector universities in the province, further stated that there has also been improvement in the research and teaching infrastructure.He said that the faculty and the students should fully utilize these facilities for the promotion of education and the research activities.The Governor also stressed that the academic atmosphere at the campuses should also be made conducive for the acquisition of knowledge.Meanwhile, he also performed the inauguration of three departmental buildings at the NED University of Engineering and Technology Karachi.The buildings were of the Department of Metallurgical Engineering, Department of Polymer and Petrochemical Engineering and of the Department of Chemical Engineering.Dr. Ishrat ul Ebad Khan said on the occasion that along with maintenance of law and order, the promotion of education is also the priority of the government.He further pointed out that appropriate measures are being taken in this regard.
