PARACHINAR, The government middle school in Jalandher village of Kurram Agency lacks basic facilities and has only four small rooms for about 400 students.
Residents said that the school set up by the British rulers in 1935 was upgraded to middle level in 1975, but since then the school had not been upgraded to high level though the village population increased manifold.
With a population of about 12,000 the village also has a two-room primary school for girls, which has over 300
