A Pakistani woman scientist, Dr Tarzana Shaheen, has been included among 11 talented women scientists from Africa, the Middle East, Asia, Latin America, and the Caribbean for her research excellence.
The Elsevier Foundation, Third World Academy of Sciences (TWAS) and the Organisation for Women in Science for the Developing World (OWSD) have recognised the 11 talented women scientists from these regions for their research excellence. Each winner has received a cash prize of $5,000.
