THE Punjab University (PU) will remain closed on October 17, the concluding day of the Islamia Jamiat Talaba (IJT) convention which will start on October 15 at New Campus.
Though PU press statement did not mention reason for the holiday yet it is clear the varsity administration wanted peaceful conclusion of Jamiat s event as some unpleasant and violent incidents occurred during its arrangements in the recent days.
