Karachi The University of Karachi (KU) has decided to confer special powers on the Rangers personnel widening their role in maintaining security on the campus, keeping in view the recent manhandling of a lecturer by a group of students.
A high-level meeting at KU, presided over by Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Pirzada Qasim, decided on Saturday that an increase in the authority of Rangers had become inevitable for maintaining peace and security on the campus.
