LAHORE The Punjab government will induct 1,500 university students into wheat sowing campaign from next week to train farmers in “enhanced water productivity, balanced use of fertiliser and better weed control”.
These final-year graduation students have been hired from all agriculture universities for a month to work as “farmers` trainers”. The Punjab government hopes to generate some wheat momentum through these interns for the second consecutive year; they were hired last year as
