The Punjab government has declared Gujranwala Medical College (GMC) as the constituent college of the University of Health Sciences (UHS).
According to a notification issued by the provincial health department on Tuesday, the management, administration and control of Gujranwala Medical College has been transferred to the UHS with immediate effect.
The District Headquarters Hospital, Gujranwala shall continue to function as attached teaching hospital for the Gujranwala Medical
