THE number of schools in Cardiff requiring high-level support and monitoring has risen by a quarter in the past year, a new report has revealed.
There were 21schools needing “intensive” or “extended” help last month, compared to just 15 at the same time in December 2010.
There are currently four primary and four secondary schools in the capital requiring “special measures” – up from six schools a year earlier.
