Over 8,000 procedures for hepatitis patients done at PIMS

Approximately 700 patients suffering from hepatitis B or C visited the Department of Gastroenterology at Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), Islamabad every month during the year 2011.
Nearly 2,500 patients registered with PIMS during 2011, have been receiving interferon (injection) therapy while in the year 2010, as many as 2,100 patients received the injection therapy of interferon, said Deputy Director at
