Syndicate condemns move PUASA out to frustrate Kamran`s re-posting appointment of the vice-chancellor

LAHORE, Jan 6: Politics is at its peak in the Punjab University as teacher activists are taking positions to influence the appointment of the vice-chancellor (VC) which is now a matter of days.

“Prof Mujahid Kamran, no way,” is the stance by the Punjab University Academic Staff Association (PUASA) and the Islami Jamiat Tulaba (IJT).

Mr Kamran, the incumbent VC, is among the three finalists recommended by a search committee for the VC slot for a four-year term.
