“In 40 years as a professional artist, it is estimated that Sadequain made more than 15,000 artworks, which is 375 pieces a year,” said Arjuman Faisal, an art curator at the launch of The Saga of Sadequain.
The saga is a two-volume definite biography of the Pakistani artist containing 500 images of his paintings, murals and sculptures, displayed at the IVS gallery, here on Tuesday. “I wonder if he was a human being or a super human being”, Faisal added.
