Encouraged by the free for all environment for the corrupt and plunderers of national wealth, some influential lobbies are pushing for an alarmingly high price Light Emitting Diode (LED) street lights for Islamabad i.e. Rs100,000 per light replacing 6,500 conventional lights with an estimated cost of Rs6.524 billion.
Political connections and pressures are allegedly being used to convince top authorities for approving tendering process of this project as it has been included in the PC-1
