Law and Islam allow abortion under conditions’ Pakistan Medical Association (PMA)

Prominent gynecologist and former general secretary of the Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) Dr Shershah Syed has said that a law existed in Pakistan which allowed abortion provided two doctors agreed that the foetus had congenital problems and the mother’s or the child’s health was at risk, or, that the baby at the time of birth would be abnormal.
