Over Rs92m illegal contracts unearthed in National Institute of Cultural Heritage (Lok Virsa)

ISLAMABAD, The National Institute of Cultural Heritage (Lok Virsa) illegally awarded 16 contracts valuing Rs92.05 million to a private party in violation of public procurement rules, and subsequently extended the scope of the agreements, an audit report revealed.

The auditor general of Pakistan in a report for 2010-11, a copy of which is available with Dawn , noted that the management of Lok Virsa placed advertisement for outsourcing its open-air theatre, museum shops, cafeteria, museum
