Pakistan Institute of Development Economics PIDE awards 20th PhD in economics
ISLAMABAD - The Pakistan Institute of Development Economics (PIDE) awarded its 20th PhD in Economics to Miraj-ul-Haq. In his PhD dissertation, Haq developed a theoretical model incorporating the roles of international trade and human capital in the process of economic growth. The model has been empirically tested on a sample of 23 developing countries and the results of the research show that international trade plays an important role in enhancing the prospects of growth in developing
