KARACHI: Ocean Art Gallery
recently organised a solo exhibition of 39 paintings of renowned artist Zarah David.
During David’s time as an art student at the Punjab University, painting outdoors was an important part of the art curriculum encouraging students to address nature directly.
In her work, some vestiges of this training are glimpsed though the work makes no attempt to literally describe that experience. Physical reality is merely a reference though the artist does not literally
