There will be a public holiday on Saturday, the 11th of Rabi-ul-Awwal, while the ban on pillion riding will be lifted on the 11th and 12th of Rabi-ul-Awwal (Saturday and Sunday).
These announcements were made by Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan after he held a meeting with Ulema of different schools of thought at the Governor House on Thursday. He underlined the need for sectarian and religious harmony, and impressed upon the Ulema the need to refrain from making provocative speeches
