Anybody who thought the Karachi Literature Festival 2012 was just about books and authors would be missing a far wider point. Books and authors there were in abundance, and it was good to see such a diverse and eclectic range of talent on display.
There was lively debate, good audiences even for some of the more arcane speakers and an overall sense that the partnership between the Oxford University Press and the British Council who were the joint sponsors, had got the chemistry right. Such
