Thousands of families refuse anti-polio drops Pakistan’s poor polio progress propels India into action

The sorry state of affairs of Pakistan’s polio eradication programme has prompted India to institute measures so that not a single Pakistani child under the age of 5 should enter the Indian border without being immunised against the disease.

According to details of steps taken by the Indian polio control authorities to ensure the implementation of this step, a special check-post has been set up at Munabao near the India-Pakistan border in a bid to check export of poliovirus to the country.
