A veteran journalist and writer of many Punjabi books, Shafqat Tanvir Mirza, suffering from lungs cancer, has approached the Lahore High Court for release of past pension benefits withheld by the National Press Trust (Progressive Papers Limited).
His counsel, Maqsooma Zahra Bokhari, prayed to the court to direct the respondents to pay the petitioner approximately Rs 1.2 million immediately in accordance with the current and prevalent rules and regulations of pension since 1996 as lump sum,
