Rawalpindi Bananas: Rs400 per dozen
Bananas are being sold at the rate of Rs400 per dozen in fruit shops of twin cities. All Pakistan Fruit Wholesalers Association President Shaikh Sajjad Ahmed told ‘The News’ that they were importing bananas from India and Dubai. “Most of the banana trees were damaged in floods. Therefore, we are facing worst kind of shortage of bananas and importing them from other countries at high prices,” he claimed.
