Professor Saeed Farani honoured serving the cause of Punjabi language and literature

Professor Saeed Ahmad Farani was awarded ‘Life Achievement Award 2011’ by the Masood Khadar Posh Trust, Lahore, for serving the cause of Punjabi language and literature during last 30 years, says a press release.

 

He has translated selected ‘sufi’ poetry of seven saints of Punjab. Presently, he is working on the works of Mian Mohammad Bakhsh. The award has been given to prominent literary figures of Punjab including Sharif Kunjahi, Shafqat Tanvir Mirza and Afzal Ahsan
