THE Punjab Professors and Lecturers Association (PPLA), Lahore division, apprehends that more than 4,000 teaching posts may be withdrawn in the 26 autonomous colleges in the province where fees would also multiply, while it questions the capacity of four-year BS (Honours) programme to hold students throughout the course.
The Punjab higher education department, on the other hand, says unequivocally that no teaching post in autonomous colleges has been withdrawn. It claims that infrastructure
