Fasting may affect below 12 children’s mental, physical growth: Health experts believe

Health experts believe that frequent fasting in children below 10 or 11 years of age may affect both mental and physical growth.

 

They say that regular fasting in children particularly below twelve years of age for a month in Ramazan should not be encouraged as it may cause growth-related problems in them.
